Privacy Policy of the E.Malumni Association Website
It is a legal requirement in Italy that you explicitly consent to the use of your personal data according to Italian Privacy Law.
According to the Italian legislative decree n. 196/2003 (personal data protection code) personal data are treated by provisions of the law, according to declared purposes (listed below), fairly and with transparency, for the protection of your privacy and rights.
According to the article 13 of the legislative decree n.196/2003 (former paragraph 10 law 675/1996), it is hereby declared that:
- Data that you freely provide are treated for the following purposes:
a) creation of a user account to access the private area, forums and other communication services;
b) creation of an experts database for professional purposes and for statistics on occupation; - Data are electronically processed;
- The submittal of the requested data (article 1.a) is mandatory in order to obtain the access to the private area, forums and communication services. Failure to provide any of these data (username, name, e-mail address, E.MA academic year and country),will result in your registration not being accepted;
- The submittal of professional data (article 1.b) and some personal data (excluding those listed in article 3 above) are optional and aimed at keeping you informed about professional opportunities, creation of a experts database and the production of occupational statistics;
- The submitted personal and professional information could be disclosed to third parties (partner organizations) for professional purposes, such as job opportunities, institutional partnership, research opportunities, job statistics, etc.;
- By filling in your personal and professional information you give your consensus to communicate these data to other organisations, agencies or associations sharing E.MAlumni purposes;
- The data controller is EIUC, Monastery of san Nicolò, Riviera San Nicolò, 26, 30126 Venice – Lido (VE);
- The data processing takes place in the data controller venue as well as in the venues of the third parties as mentioned in article 5 above;
- You have the rights foreseen by article 7 of the legislative decree n.196/2003, that includes the right to know the existence of your data and obtain their erasure, their rectification and update by contacting the data controller at the address above mentioned or via email to the address: privacy {at} eiuc(.)org .
